Understanding Remaining individuals ancestry in version 4 as compared to previous versions

Hello,
What is exactly the ‘Remaining individuals ancestry’ in the variant files? It reminds me of the ‘Other’ ancestry in 2 & 3 versions. In particular, I would like to confirm whether “AF_oth” in previous versions has become “AF_remaining” in version 4. Thank you very much

Hi Javier,

Yes, we renamed the “Other” to “Remaining” to better reflect that we are unable to label these individuals with our current methods. You can read more about ancestry labels here: Genetic Ancestry | gnomAD browser
